I’m Glad You Are the Way You Are.

Father, I sat beside your bed that day

a chance that I might somehow say

something to make you proud of me

something which would set me free

of bonds I thought were mine

that somehow I had set in time

not knowing how or why I’d done some crime

and rejected by the family tree

why did you all do this to me

why did you allow this to happen to me

and you looked up at me that day

and shook my hand off from the clasp that I had set

while held your hand in mine and yet

you pushed it aside

a part of me had already died

you could not kill more

there was nothing left in store

you’d all taken it over the years

there simply were no more tears

that I was able or cared to shed

even though I knew you soon would be dead

you never once acknowledged me as being worthy

you all allowed me to feel so God damned dirty

and the final words you said to me were set

in concrete so I could never ever forget

“I’m glad you are the way you are.”

No, you knew me not, you were always too far

from me to know what I was or was to be

the person who sat and tried to hold your hand you could not see

not you, nor your God damned sister, mother, father could never see

“I’m glad you are the way you are.”

How high did you set the God damned bar?

A child born of thy seed to thee?

I now demand you set me free.

You never ever knew me.

No, my mind is changed and this day I choose to set myself free

Free from the God damned family tree

from from it and free from thee.

President Flag Desecration Barack Hussein Obama

President Flag Desecration Barack Hussein Obama today has issued orders to our troops and other American groups providing assistance to the Haitians in Haiti to pull down the American flag because he doesn’t wish to irritate other countries. This jerk will not wear a flag lapel pin and has not since 911 because he thinks it reflects too much patriotism.

He has refused two flyovers where patriotism was the primary issue and blamed it on religion. Yet those flyovers have been going on for over twenty years at both of those events and approved by every president before him.He gives the crotch salute at every ceremony where others are placing their hands over their hearts. You have to understand that we have a president who hates this country. He hates its past. He hates its military. And he hates capitalism. He will do all he can to bring this country down and force it to become a third world country. He is a 1st class Chicago bred liar and will do all he can to destroy our constitution which he despises.

He is a Marxist. He readily admits that his chosen friends in college were Marxists. He has openly called himself a progressive. Progressive is just another word for socialism. This is a man who hung the Venezuela flag in his campaign headquarters and is best buddies with Chavez.  And Chavez remarked that Obama is further left that he personally is.  Further left than  Chavez????  We have a president further left than Chavez?

You and I are the only things standing in his way. You and I and a lot of proud Americans can defeat his wishes. But we have to stand up to him. He is a Chicago bully who stated in one speech that if you were against his plans he would “call you out” that is Chicago school boy bully talk.

It’s time America, if you want to have an America left in a few years we need to stop this man now.

Best wishes for a good day and a better tomorrow.

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government” Thomas Jefferson

A cowboy from Texas attends a social function where Barack Obama is trying to gather support for his Health Plan. Once he discovers the cowboy is from President Bush’s home area, he starts to belittle him by talking in a southern drawl and single syllable words. As he was doing that, he kept swatting at some flies that were buzzing around his head. The cowboy says, “Y’all havin’ some problem with them circle flies?”

Obama stopped talking and said, “Well, yes, if that’s what they’re called, but I’ve never heard of circle flies.”

Well, sir,” the cowboy replies, “Circle flies hang around ranches.. They’re called circle flies because they’re almost always found circling around the back end of a horse.”

“Oh,” Obama replies as he goes back to rambling.
But, a moment later he stops and bluntly asks, “Are you calling me a horse’s ass?”

“No, sir,” the cowboy replies, “I have too much respect for the citizens of this country to call their president a horse’s ass.”

“That’s a good thing,” Obama responds and begins rambling on once more.

After a long pause, the cowboy, in his best Texas drawl says, “Hard to fool them flies, though.”

Best wishes for a good day and a better tomorrow.

I love a simple sleepy city street

one tree lined

side walk framed

tidy yards

to me it’s just so very awesome neat

to stroll alone in streetlight semi-darkness without designed

plan or in anxious upset thought complained

or with time or plans in scattered mental shattered shards.

Have you ever met a naked otter

one standing silent by the sea

standing silent in deep thought

while sipping a cup of Earl Grey tea

and with it shared a cookie

he just had the three

one for him, one for me

and a cookie for the sea

for a long lost friend

who, like him, loved Earl Grey Tea.

I’m feeling depressed

just not somehow right tonight

you might say I’m flipping stressed

and my mind is slipping down a hill, in a running shadow fight

it whirls, turns, looks here and there

then stops suddenly to simply sit and stare

as though in a trance while but in complete confusion

focused on nothing but trapped in a total profusion

of odd thoughts springing up to join and meet

bouncing off one another not stopping to simply greet

no conversation started, opened, made then finished

a friend left and drove north tonight

family, dogs, all gone from the neighbor’s sight

ah, they forgot to turn out a light

tv programs in homes unfiltered running

as usual remarkably stupidly stunning

so I’ll walk the dogs and duck rain drops

and hope the cold breeze rushing past momentarily stops

until I get the simple task completed done

then sleep I will and wake I hope to once more view the morning sun.

My Name is Samson

Gordon Kuhn

Oh what a foolish man in mid-life crises I turned out to be

how embarrassing to the family I surely must have been

for God’s knows I know that thinking thoughts like mine were sin

Israel’s final judge of twelve flirted the rumors all said

and you, Delilah, for payment almost then in hand sought me out

while I in lust was weakened so

and thought only then with lower extremity

thus I found myself before my God

that I was soon to be

so captivated by

so seduced by

so enraptured by

my beautiful, alluring Delilah, a witch on land and on the sea

a whore who for 30 lbs of silver became

for me, my barber and a force majeure

with gentle touch you acted poseur

a harlot learned well, no not any cheap amateur

who with fortune held close in hand

met first we did in town Timnath

you undressed me, caressed me, then led me to your bath

anointed me with scented oil

and mounting me you moaned, thrust and did toil

well versed to challenge such a weak mind as mine

I fell so easy, so very easily, easily I fell in line

a hungry man, empty, searching

who tragic had lost his love

a young bride taken murdered, burned, my lovely morning dove

by Philistines who then one-thousand met the jawbone of my ass

in judgment, for a judge I be, I burned their crops and killed in mass

they, in turn, put a lofty bounty on my head

how upsetting this was at first to me

to view the posters hung with horrible pictures for all to see

they didn’t look at all like me

my strength of will they knew not the source

the source of power with which I kept it fed

but they did all hold the knowing result in dread

and could not approach or challenge me

for fearfully knew that with a whack I’d leave them quite dead

leave them for the birds of carrion

who upon their rotting bodies would feed

but you my beautiful-horrible Delilah

I was so gentle led

peeled gapes by you were gentle fed

while you stroked and wound seven braids of hair

then with a knife you cut it there

and my strength fell cut by cut to the ground

then you called the guards who found me sleeping sound

who gouged out my eyes and left me blinded to grind their grain

but my hair began to grow while I suffered in constant pain

then foolishly chose they to lead me out in bold parade

tied to pillars I prayed for strength and Godly aide

repenting all to him which birthed my soul

to kill those who surrounded me and who laughed that day

then with a growl I forced the pillars to begin to sway

they say three thousand lives I took that day

ended there along with mine

beneath the stones carved wide and tall

that fell and crushed and killed us all.
