Not only is she someone’s daughter, she might be a sister, wife, mother, best friend, neighbor. I will repost the poem LAYS which is about a prostitute I saw walking down the street a few years back. I have another one as well that addresses prostitution. I spent four years in active duty with the USMC and so met my share of these women who, in many cases, lead tragic lives.
